Cytoplasmz - Wit Pleasures / Sydoxzkness

Cytoplasmz/Psychoplasmz/Cyto-P is this obscure crew from Oakland with a variable line-up (remember this post?) that includes Bas-1 and Lil Larry amongst others.
This is their only collective release, besides the Insiduous Urban 7'', and it's from 96.
Check it:

VA - Broke Ass Summer Jam III - 98 Sampler

That cassette sampler was supposed to promote the Broke Ass Summer Jam hip hop festival build by and for (but not only) Living Legends members in 1998.
It features mostly already known singles from various LL related releases but also a couple of unreleased songs, live extracts and interludes I think.
Something for the LL completists really, and I think it was on Jibs wishlist too.

Also, I wanted to present another interesting blog I discovered a few weeks ago.
Record Recollection highlights late 90es canadian indie rap releases with indepth interviews from the artists themselves. A deep source of knowledge if you're into this.

Bignous - The Outcome EP

I've been looking for that EP for a while and finally got a copy to share. This is the latest EP from the Hobo Junction's Bignous, although it's 11 years old now. Apparently Big made the jump to the eastcoast at the time he released this.
There's 5 hidden tracks, so total 12 tracks for 22 minutes, productions are rather minimal and dark, I like it although I wasn't expecting much. Enjoy!

Basbombing - Super 12''

This is a somewhat rare test press 12'' from Oakland MC Bas-One aka Basbombing.
It's credited on discogs as an Insiduous Urban release from 2002, although they never release it properly apparently, it stayed at test press status for some reason.
The vinyl got this little pen-drawn IU catalog ref on one side and a big green Heratik Prod. sticker on the flip that seems to have been stuck by someone afterwards. Bas-One released his first LP and a couple of 12'' on Fanatik's label.

The vinyl got 3 tracks with instrumentals, my favorite being "Can't Fool The Last" (credited as "Untitled" on discogs) and 2 funny tracks with catchy phrases and noises made by Bas in order to be scratched by DJs.

Not a must-have, more an interesting piece for the collectors.

Little Larry & Bas One (Psychoplasmz) - Cytoplasmic

I got to know Psychoplasmz while looking for Insiduous Urban Records releases.
That bay area label released all the Mission:/CCR records and related (Headnodic), Foreign Legion, solo Bas-1 stuff, the classic DJ Serg westcoast mixtape, and a couple of more obscure stuff, including a Psychoplasmz 7'', a group consisting of Bas-1 (Oakland) and Little Larry (Berkeley).

This is a compilation from 2011 put together by Little Larry and consisting of all the materials by the group. You even got the 2 tracks from the 7''.

L'Roneous & Brycon - Maart Vol.1 The World According To Gurp

Oh yes. L'Roneous is back with a short album (20 minutes) produced by Brycon (Grand Killa Con, affiliated to SF's Gurp City) and it's banging. I love L'Ron's voice and technical flow (sometimes reminiscent to Aceyalone) but since Imaginarium the productions weren't always on par with his skills. On Maart One the beats are short, catchy, and it's a perfect match...  There's also a 7'' released next week with a couple of cuts from this album.
Special bonus points to the title who refers to a brilliant John Irving novel (you need to check that out too)... and to the fact that there's a Z-Man cameo on it.

Hobo Junction - Secret Service (Demo Tape)

This tape has been floating on the web for some time, not sure if it's from the Ghetto Tyylit guys or else. There's also a rip on youtube with the Limited Edition artwork (no relation though).
So, no real artwork nor official tracklist exist to my knowledge but I've been able to figure some of the tracks in there. Some are demo version of later-released tracks from the Hobos, some are just unreleased. Any additional info would help, don't hesitate to hit the comment section.
Beware, the audio quality is like a 8th generation cassette dub.
