US Pros - Have You Seen Us?

This is a repost from Ghetto Tyylit's. 

US Pros were a Living Legends- related group composed by ex Log Cabin member Knows (aka Pooridge), Very (also in AfroClassics with Scarub) and Timsears which is not featured on this third and last album of the Pros.

I chose this one because it's by far the most solid of the 3 and in a general way, US Pros are pretty underrated and their releases difficult to find. 

Emceeing is on point all the way through with a few nice cameos. Productions are a great surprise: very diverse stylistically,  and original without falling into "weird to be weird" traps... There's some true bangers on it too ('Ch'ps' for instance, but there's more), some more minimal ones, but it sounds right almost every time.

More ex-members of Log Cabin are featured on the production credits, like Sahga or Magi (aka Tom Slick), which left us wondering were are all the other dope post-Log Cabin projects? Do they even exist? Can we have some more?

It truly deserve a place next to the handful of LL classics although it didn't have half the exposure it deserved.

Anonymous - Instrumentals At Work

Another one for the hardcore la2thebay/ Log Cabin collectors. 

This is Log Cabin's producer Neosapien under the Anonymous moniker (also aka AntiMC from Mush Records). It's his very first solo release from 1999 on cassette only, and like the title says, it's a compilation of instrumentals. Never saw this around either.

I bought the cassette a few years ago from a guy who had a large westcoast underground cassette collection for sale and who systematically offered a nice cd transfer of the tape you bought from him, with hand-made cd artwork and tracklist in different colors paper case. Now that's dedication. I don't know if he's still around making these, but props to him. I have a few others like that from him, will see which one I'll share eventually.

The last beat on this called Soldier In The Rain is used by Of Mexican Descent on a live version of Money Is Meaningless (maybe it's on the Awol One / 2Mex Flow & Tell Tour CD, don't remember exactly).

So here you go: a a tape from 2000 produced by Anonymous (aka Neosapien from Log Cabin aka Anti MC of Mush Records), a nice line-up of guest: Subtitle, Megabusive, Radio, Liferexall, Premo.. the whole Westcoast Workforce in action.
Beware though: the 2 first tracks are almost unlistenable due to tape fuck-ups, the rest is ok.

I bought this one with a batch of other LL tapes a few years ago on ebay. There's no tracklist on it.
Prior to that, all i knew was the bootleg floating on slsk with varying tracklists and track names.
Recently, finnish homie/collector Kaliyuga Pro gave me a tracklist Anti MC (Neosapien back then) posted on a msg board years ago, which led me to these facts: a. it matched my tape b. the slsk bootlegs were wrong versions and more of a track collection (for instance Submental is not a Log Cabin track but a Miscellaneous Minds one, an early Eligh/Scarub/Savant Young group, and therefore not featured on my tape) c. that actual tape compiled 2 albums: LA Experimental by Log Cabin, then Westcoast Underground by Universouls (Radio, Malik, Sahga & Tom Slikk). The second one is entirely produced by Elusive.
A last thing: the sound of my rip isn't the best one unfortunately... But at least it's the real deal.
