Yep, no download this time but a selection of fine articles that just dropped:
First that absolute must-have reissue of Social Deviantz' Essential Mental Nutrients.
I have a long list of fantasy albums-that-need-to-be-issued-on-vinyl-one-day, and if not by other labels, maybe one day by my own... and that canadian classic was definitely in the top 10.
If you don't know about it, let's say it's like an unreleased golden-era Pharcyde LP, nothing less.
Production is top notch, emceeing is fresh, and that album from '96 stayed incredibly overlooked for some reason.
Cope it now, cope 2 copies and say thanks to DWG for putting it out with styles.
Then, another nice reissue from Chicago duo Maintenance Crew. They put out a best-of vinyl compilation for RSD this year, celebrating a career of 14 years and 5 albums. I use to bump a lot their first album when it came out in 2005 and even had a review for a french website. Glad to have some of their titles on wax.
Next up we have Specs One & Silas Blak from Seattle that released a collaborating LP called Blak Wizard. I didn't ordered it yet but it's next in line, since most things released by Specs One is dope, including his recent Unfollow digital EP.
Also, don't forget to peep Luke Sick's 5th, 6th ,7th?? project dropped this year. It's a new Disturbers tape, more like an old one that finally sees the light of day. Megakut needs to start a yearly subscription or something, too much goodness, so little time.
Lastly, I'm proud to announce I have a 50 minutes mix up on big UK radio RinseFM for the LuckyMe show. The date is May 19th, around 11PM I think. I'll repost the thing when it's out as a podcast. Westcoast underground only. Much love to Martyn for the opportunity!
This vinyl is very good, i wanted more all here is very expensive!
